We got “TOp studio AWARDS 2026 at Pacific Grand Ball” Among Washington state dance studios
Just two years ago, Versal Dance School opened its doors with a dream, a vision, and a passion for dance!

Meet the Team

RUSLAN KALIUZHNYI
Ruslan spent time building dance community in Seattle and raised couples who became American Champions.
In 2019 Ruslan started to dance with Elena Babaeva and continued his dance journey.
As a dancer and teacher Ruslan has been always searching for the organic, efficient and inspiring way of learning Ballroom dancing and has always been interested and motivated in deeper understanding of movement to become free and be able to express the true beauty and magic of dancing.
Dance competitor achievements:
- Ukrainian National Ballroom Champion in under 21
- World Vice-Champion in Paris in under 21.
- National American finalist in Amateur.
- Vice USA Champion in International Professional Ballroom in Rising Stars category
- Winner of Rising Stars Ohio Star Ball, Vegas Open, and other dance American competitions.
-Current competitor, ranking in top 25 best couples in the world
Teaching experience:
- more then 13 years experience as dance teacher in following styles: Ballroom, Latin, American smooth, American Rythm, night club dancing styles and etc.
- dance choreographer of show numbers; wedding dances
-Raised American Ballroom Champions in Juniors/ Youth category

ALEX HAWKINS'S
Alexandria Hawkins loves to dance. She began her journey at the Joffrey School of Ballet in New York City, where she studied for eight years. While a teen in Ballard, Alex studied jazz, competed in break dancing, and began her career as a ballroom competitor and instructor. As a professional, Alex won multiple Rising Star titles all over the United States. In her forty years of teaching, she has trained multiple amateur national champions in many age categories and has always enjoyed working with social dancers. She teaches a wide range of styles, including Swing, Latin, and ballroom. Her knowledge of kinesiology makes learning to dance easier and allows students to enjoy their new-found skills in less time with better results.
-More then 40 years of teaching experience in all dance styles such as Rythm/Smooth; Latin/Ballroom; WCS; Night club two step; etc

ELENA BABAEVA
Elena started dancing when she was 6 to prevent asthma. Two years later she was in the final of Russian National Championship. Very early at being 18 years old her family opened a dance school in Moscow and she started her journey as a main teacher and later on also a judge. Elena always wanted to compete internationally more, so she moved first to Germany and then a few years later started to dance with Ruslan Kaliuzhnyi and contined her competitive career in USA. She always perceived dancing as a great opportunity of self expression and self development and this believe is strongly describing her personality.
Achievements:
- Vice USA Champion in International Ballroom program in the category of Rising Stars Professionals
- Russian Vice-champion in Show program in Ballroom dancing style
- Winner of multiple USA competitions ( like Vegas Open; Autumn Damce Classic; Ohio Star Ball (Rising Star) and etc
- Ranking top 25 best couples in the world ( with Ruslan Kaliuzhnyi)
Teaching experience:
- 14 years experience as dancing teacher of social and ballroom dancing
- Choreographer of dancing shows; wedding dances

Anton Boudzko
Anton began dancing at age 8, starting in hip hop before transitioning to ballroom dance at the recommendation of his teacher. He trained and competed in Standard and Latin until age 16, achieving national-level success.
At 18, Anton shifted his focus to rowing and committed Division I to the University of Washington rowing program. He is currently studying biochemistry at the University of Washington on a pre-med track. His background in athletics and science informs a disciplined, analytical approach to teaching and movement.
Anton believes dance is a powerful form of self-expression that brings people together and bridges gaps through movement and connection.
Achievements:
Middle and High school national champion in International standard and Latin
